Day One Thousand Two Hundred Forty #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Mei writes:

I walked down to the square where the bodies of my friends lay open to the air. They were cordoned off. Their removal forbidden still.

Nor would the guards let me linger – but through repeated blows forced me away.

I found a quiet spot to write this, wondering when the promise would be fulfilled.

A commotion erupted among the guards and they scattered falling over one another as Elijah and Enoch stood to their feet and were drawn upward – alive.

There they joined those around my heart’s cherished longing, Yeshua. And I saw my name written on the palm of his uplifted hand.

I set aside my pen to reunite with my friends.

In the beginning of forever.

Day Six Hundred Seventy Nine #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Tomas found a way up to a part of the range that opened onto a high tableland. It made our going much easier.  Though we did lose track of the army moving down below because our trail led far away from the edge.

We were all alone except for the high flying birds of prey. One in particular kept a wary eye on us as he circled on a thermal overhead. As we continued forward, without faltering, it lost interest and caught another thermal that spun it away from us.

Along the way I recited the Word to the Captain to help him internalize it into his being. And he in turn read aloud the Gospels of Yeshua to me.

We settled into the new camp with the intent to stay a while. Elijah cannot pass up any opportunity to build people up spiritually. I concurred.

We learned that though they have been branded deserters, they repudiate that label arguing that they had not enlisted but rather had been forced conscripts.

They feel thankful, however, for the experience. One after the other told me that they never would have encountered Yeshua otherwise.

To a man they desire to return to their villages. And have remained in this place while deciding their course of action.

It is clear that to do so, they shall have to return via the caravan trail.

Elijah wants them to collect their people and move west.

Day Six Hundred Fifty Five #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

The campfires (we could now discern there was more than one) held to their position. At my order we kept a slow pace throughout the night.

Our plan was to arrive in daylight.  It wouldn’t do to have some strangers suddenly appear out of the darkness to stumble upon a more than likely armed host.

And Elijah insisted upon an additional precaution, he went in alone, while we kept out of sight.

After a brief separation Elijah returned to collect us, and to introduce us to our new friends.

They are indeed from that huge army. A whole platoon of deserters. Minus their leaders.

And to Elijah’s delight (and our surprise) new followers of Yeshua Hamashiach.

They trailed Elijah everywhere.

We still wait for the pass to clear. There was quite a build up of army units at this end of the plain, each awaiting their turn to enter. At one point they were overflowing into the area near our camp, so we moved further away.

In so doing we stumbled upon a hamlet. Though there were several dwellings, only one was inhabited.

The family therein hid at our approach, but Elijah and Tomas coaxed them out with assurances that we were not with the army.

They were attracted to Elijah and his staff, wanting to know if he were the Good Shepherd come for them.

All their neighbors had been taken up in the Glorious Appearing.

They want Yeshua.

Day Six Hundred Eighteen #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Three days from today we will set out. We are no longer contending with each other for our future destiny. The Spirit has shown each one that to follow Elijah is to follow Him.

We must prepare. Each one in his own way.

Elijah visited his spot on the causeway.

The Captain traveled beyond the crossroads to reconnoiter the area towards the army camp.

I accompanied the Captain, only parting from him later to better cover the vicinity down by the river to search out crossings.

Tomas remained in the house and conversed with our neighbor.  It was from that source that he learned another name for Hamashiach – Yeshua. Our neighbor carries it from the memory of being left behind.
