Day One Thousand One Hundred Sixty Six #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

I had not been able to close my eyes in sleep all night. I was compelled by an urgency to intercede for Tomas and Sy on their reconnaissance mission.

Yet the vigil in no way impaired me in my chores come the day. It seemed only to have energized me to further exertion.

In the afternoon I worked with Quasimo on a big project. Our drones kept at the hiding place had fallen into disrepair during the time of our separation in the East and South. He had gathered the necessary parts, and we should have them up and ready by tomorrow.

Elijah saw what we were doing and stopped and forbid us to use them anywhere in the vicinity.

Day One Thousand One Hundred Three #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Our guards called up reinforcements this morning and ordered our villa surrounded. This was in reaction to reports that world government loyalists had broken out of their holding camp and were roaming the vicinity.

Tomas was out, so I acted the liaison with our guards. While touring the perimeter I witnessed them turning away roving bands with extreme force. If they had been armed our guards may not have been able to repel them.

In the afternoon the Supreme Commander put in an appearance. He came to check on our well-being and to assure us that the problem had been dealt with – decisively.

After he had left, I sought Elijah to tell him that I thought I had seen Moglen.

Jezer had us well hidden within the city. And it was his turn to order us to stay put as he went about our inquiries. We rested in the fact that it was with good reason.

Elijah is now convinced that Raj P’s twin brother G should have arrived with his group in the vicinity long ago. Jezer was equally certain that he could not have failed to hear of their presence if such a sizable group of strangers were out there. But he did no more than state that belief and then obediently acquiesced to follow up Elijah’s hunch.

At day’s end, Jezer returned. So far, all his queries confirmed his assessment. But admittedly he hasn’t exhausted his contacts.

Day Seven Hundred Sixty Two #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

The majority of the camp structures have been dismantled. All that remains are our personal tents. And those can be gotten up in minutes.

Tomas, with our blessing, has surveyed the immediate vicinity, paying particular attention to the trail taken by Jordan’s people. He thinks he can obliterate all marks of their passage by precipitating an avalanche in that area. But he wants to find another way out for us first.

The Captain with Mei’s help has gathered everything combustible into one big pile. When we set it ablaze, if visible by our foes, it should focus their attention away from Jordan and place it square on us.

Elijah feels ready to rely on the Spirit’s capacity to defend us.

Day Six Hundred Eighteen #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Three days from today we will set out. We are no longer contending with each other for our future destiny. The Spirit has shown each one that to follow Elijah is to follow Him.

We must prepare. Each one in his own way.

Elijah visited his spot on the causeway.

The Captain traveled beyond the crossroads to reconnoiter the area towards the army camp.

I accompanied the Captain, only parting from him later to better cover the vicinity down by the river to search out crossings.

Tomas remained in the house and conversed with our neighbor.  It was from that source that he learned another name for Hamashiach – Yeshua. Our neighbor carries it from the memory of being left behind.

Day Five Hundred Ninety Six #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Both the Captain and Tomas have finally gotten their land legs. The wait has been beneficial, for it afforded them time to concentrate on plans for the future. Elijah has been very supportive, preparing them for being on their own. For our paths may soon be diverging.

I took a walk around the immediate vicinity to get my bearings. This proved helpful for when Elijah and I made our way back into the city, we didn’t fall off the causeway into the rice paddies, going out or returning.

The city which had seemed empty from the ship in the darkness has transformed into a teeming anthill of people.

Strikingly, we each came away sensing the presence of a hostile spirit.

Day Five Hundred Fifty Eight #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

The Captain informs us that we have left one large ocean behind and are now entering the largest one on the globe.

All I see is a lot of islands, but he assures me that though there are many in this vicinity, a great vastness awaits beyond.

I think he can’t wait to surround us in the safety of that vastness.

Elijah has been busy today giving assurances himself. The Raj twin P came to him earlier to ask why Elijah had recommended him for the position on the other ship. I thought he was feeling slighted, but that was not the case. He was having doubts and wondering if he had missed his path.

Elijah put him at ease.

Day Four Hundred Twenty Eight #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Before Elijah and I left camp this morning we settled in our minds and spirits what our course of action would be if refused entry into the city. I thought through some additional contingencies, chief of which was the possibility of our separation, which indeed was what they attempted to do.

We had checked the harbor for our ship prior to making our appearance at the open gate. Knowing that our ship had not arrived was key to our response to their dictum.

So when the guard of yesterday informed us that only Elijah would be allowed entry, we declined the offer and left.

However, we do plan to remain in the vicinity for the immediate future.

Be patient always.

Day Four Hundred Fifteen #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

The base camp for the drone may have been found, but that left some questions unanswered; such as, who placed it there – who tended it – and are they still in the vicinity.

It had occurred to me that it may not be just one individual. Elijah supported my supposition and advised setting a watch on the accesses to the promontory heights. The Purser made the assignments.

I again went out to finish my canvass of the settlement. But instead of Mawuli, Elijah accompanied me. (So I surrendered his staff back to him).

We were at the furthest reaches of the camp when Elijah raised his countenance and his staff to the sky. And a flaming star fell from its height.

Day Two Hundred Fifty Five #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

When last in this vicinity we were hounded by drones. Nothing flies above our heads now, not even birds.

Our host explained everything to Elijah. He is related to the woman who had helped us. She disappeared a few days before the deluge from the skies took down everything electronic.

Elijah in his turn explained the mystery behind the woman’s disappearance. It was a great comfort for our host. The time was indeed ripe for him to believe.

When we told him our intent to continue moving onwards into the city, he balked and practically begged us not to. He does all within his power to avoid drawing attention to himself and his people.

We decided to acquiesce for now.
