Day Eight Hundred Twenty Five #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

His tribal home, that is. The shepherds were members of his clan. But unlike his immediate family they had not left in the Glorious appearing. They had been scoffers then, and were still. They just wanted to be left alone. So much so that they even refused the mark.

Quasimo welcomed the opportunity to answer their questions. And they were full of them. And in each instance his answers always came around again to his testimony to what he had seen and heard. But nothing he said or showed them convinced them, not even the fact that he no longer bore the mark in his person.

For all of their rough edges they were hospitable, especially to Elijah and myself.

We still wait for the pass to clear. There was quite a build up of army units at this end of the plain, each awaiting their turn to enter. At one point they were overflowing into the area near our camp, so we moved further away.

In so doing we stumbled upon a hamlet. Though there were several dwellings, only one was inhabited.

The family therein hid at our approach, but Elijah and Tomas coaxed them out with assurances that we were not with the army.

They were attracted to Elijah and his staff, wanting to know if he were the Good Shepherd come for them.

All their neighbors had been taken up in the Glorious Appearing.

They want Yeshua.

Day Five Hundred Eighty Five #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Elijah and I wandered around the port today trying to converse with people. I noted a higher than usual distrust toward strangers.

In a couple of instances Elijah was able to penetrate their defenses and gain an understanding of their predicament.

After the time of the Glorious Appearing a great many people  on this island disappeared. (We know what happened. They don’t.) Those left moved into the vacant properties and businesses, and are plagued by the notion that the rightful owners could return at any time.

We tried to explain the truth, but that made them all the more fearful.

All this was forgotten upon our return to ship at the sight of a warship tied up next to us.

Mixed blessings today. We are rejoicing over our new friend. We caught up finally with the lone Hamashiachite. We call him Jordan because neither Elijah nor myself can pronounce his name. But he does like the sound of it, and he thinks it appropriate – for he feels it matches his new beginning.

He became a follower of Hamashiach in the days after the Glorious Appearing. He’s had no one to instruct him, so he is ecstatic to have discovered us. I assured him that he has not been alone- that the Spirit has obviously been at work in him.

On the downside for today – our encounter earlier called our presence to the attention of the authorities.

We are laying low.

Day Three Hundred Thirty Nine #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

I passed a pleasant hour in conversation with the Purser.

I had been seeking Elijah in the usual places, starting with the sanctuary cabin, when the Purser emerged from the same.

Obviously, Elijah was not within, nor was his current location known by the Purser.

I had turned to continue my search, but he begged to ask a question.

I stayed to hear him out, and that one question grew into a mutually edifying dialogue.

He asked me if I had known anyone who had disappeared three and a half months ago. I flashed back to when Grazie and the others ascended at the Glorious Appearing. I nodded.

He then asked if my missing ones like his mother followed Hamashiach.

Day One Hundred Seventy Three #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

All from the meeting now know what to expect. They will know what to do when they hear and see the Glorious Appearing.

Lyle was equally clear that in the meantime they are not to neglect their normal duties. And especially to use all opportunities to bring in others that they may not miss it.

Those attending disseminated the vision throughout the encampment.

For his part Lyle went in search of Flowers again. Above all he wants him to know that he has a place here where there is no condemnation. No one has seen or heard anything more about him.

Grazie turned to me with her questions. She has such a tender heart. I did my best to answer.

Day One Hundred Fifty Six #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Lyle and I had barely nodded at one another before the responsibilities of the day pulled us apart. I had no time to share my vision, nor he his.

The widow told me it was imperative that I check on Grazie. An over-bearing sadness is how she described it.

I caught up with her at the vineyard. Indeed she was shrouded in gloom, and avoided my gaze. On inspiration I shared with her my vision of the Glorious Appearing. That made the difference – hope!

Lyle had been summoned to a meeting by Moglen. He went without hesitation.

At the end of the day we caught up with one another. Stan has returned. And we both had the same vision.
