The Fairy Diary Day 25 #TFDbyRWOz2

Meribabell writes:

The High Fairy replied, but his message was not discernible at first. The scroll had turned black within its case. I held it up to the sunlight to dispel the murk. After long moments of stillness his words surfaced from beneath the blackness.

The strokes of his pen were as equally dark with foreboding. The High Fairy warned that tragedy lay ahead.

It did little to prepare us for the reality. Least of all for our new found companion, Dunfallon.

He had skipped ahead in his excitement to be home – only to be greeted by scenes of destruction and slaughter.

Rumble rushed to his side to comfort him. And attempted to hold him back from his family burrow. Unsuccessfully.

I led us out of the burrows immediately.

We still do not know what our enemy looks like. But we have seen his cruelty.

Day Two Hundred Seven Late Morning #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Enough writes:

Slept past the time I meant to start out. Consequently I reached the desert’s edge but no farther.

Looking at this high dune in the burgeoning sunlight fills me with dread. There will be no path now. Pray for some direction.

Searched for and found some pebbles. Will suck on them to combat thirst.
