Day One Thousand One Hundred Eighty Two #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

I was disappointed. Instead of being back in the hiding place and resting, we were trudging up and over hills avoiding the major pathways.

As we neared the Damascus-Jerusalem road, my attitude improved for I recovered my bearings. And soon after Quasimo took the lead as he was more familiar with these approaches to our destination.

Elijah held me back and picked up our conversation of the other day. He shared that his dreams about the end have returned and are stronger than ever. He confessed that he does not dwell on them but finds that as the time draws closer, he did not want to let the opportunity pass to thank me for my constant help and companionship.

It has come to pass sooner than Jezer thought possible. Stricter controls have been dropped in place overnight between the various quarters within the city, and on all the ways in and out.

And demands have been stepped up for more work and longer hours from those who refuse the mark. Rumors are flying about that harsher measures will soon be implemented.

On the plus side Meesa has scheduled meetings for Elijah and me to reach out through the network leaders.

So Elijah and I were resting in preparation for the next series of meetings, when Jezer came in with news that a search is on for us, launched by world government forces in Damascus.

Someone has betrayed our presence.

Day Three Hundred Sixty Six #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Land in sight. A continent by the looks of it, extending across the horizon to our front and wrapping around to our port side.

The Captain is puzzled. The port should be dead ahead, but with the onset of night, not a glimmer of light indicates its presence. Despite the Captain’s familiarity with these waters, Tomas advised him to hold off for daylight before venturing in any closer. The Captain agreed and ordered him to set a sea anchor.

No one saw the guard today. Though most thought he was catching up on some much needed sleep, I went down to check he intended no harm to himself and was pleased to find him resting.

No one saw Elijah today.
