Day Eight Hundred Forty Seven #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Instead of setting out again tonight, we are going to stay put here at the foot of this mountain. And we intend to stay here until we have a confirmation.

It’s a lesson long ago learned. So many problems can be avoided by not running off just to be doing something. Simply waiting on the still small voice of the Spirit.

And when there is no answer, that is your answer. Be that a “no,” or as I see it in this case – a “not yet,” for now.

In many cases when considering it afterwards, it turns out to be all a matter of timing. In our limited understanding we are completely unaware of what may have to occur first.

Day Five Hundred Eleven #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

We have come safely through the jungle. But not without problems.

First there was the issue of that irate merchant, whom I could tell was delighted by thoughts of doing us harm. Such a mind will only succeed in consuming itself.

Then, just today, there was a ferocious attack by a big cat – not a lion – but a jet black cat about the size of a lion. And not upon us, but upon other travelers, a family of peasants.

Elijah waded straight into the fray swinging his staff left and right. The cat bobbed and weaved, and took a swipe at him, but at the same instant Elijah caught him with a backhand, sending him sprawling.

Stunned, the cat fled.

Day Five Hundred Six #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

We left the metropolis today. But only for the day.

Jordan tells us that one minute Elijah was explaining that we would return, then we were gone, vanished.

Upon our reappearance he asked if he would be able to do the same thing some day. We told him we couldn’t say and could only advise him to stay close to Hamashiach.

As for us, we passed the day in a cold country which was covered in a thick layer of snow. There Elijah poured himself into a gathering of followers of Hamashiach. To judge from appearances they have assembled from several countries.

Strange to think that for a time we were free, and now willingly are back in our problems.

Day Four Hundred Thirty Four #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

The fog lifted with the early morning breeze. You would think that would make a substantial difference in our headway. But it did not. In a couple of instances our forward movement was halted altogether by the incoming tide.

It was not time lost in our estimation. It was time to get our minds off of our problems and onto the One who holds the solutions. And I think we more than made up for our delay during those times when the tide was out. Way out.

By day’s end our progress was such that the port city came into our view. And like the one behind us on the mainland it appears to be untouched by the Great Destruction.

Day One Hundred Fifty Seven #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Moglen is forbidding any contact between the citizens of his second district and the markets of the east end.

We expect that the other western districts will soon follow example.

Going forward, Lyle is expecting renewed problems with leaders wanting to take on the mark. I don’t think things will get critical until we can no longer supply our own needs.

Lyle does not want to share the vision with everyone just yet. And I agree. Timing is everything and between us we should know the proper time. I have cautioned Grazie along the same lines. She will not tell the vision to anyone.

Tomorrow the people of the east end will move from the encampment back into their residences.
