Last night Dunfallon was later than any of us wanted him to be. Though we should have expected it. He tried to use the excuse that it was hard to locate us in the dark – I shook my head at that comment, for we had our beacon fire going well before sundown.

Finally he admitted that time just got away from him. He had fully intended to leave earlier, but then Nailbiter and others brought out some rumors that had been circulating among pixies and the nearby fairies. Some fairies in Nonin-gal-dith wanted their queen back. And were boasting that they would take matters into their own hands.

This brought about a debate among us – avoid Nonin-gal-dith and go straight on to the capital, or keep to our original plan.

With the morning we decided on keeping to the plan.  Rumble said there were certain documents we needed to collect from the High Fairy’s residence and both Noralei and Dunfallon thought that if there were inimical factions they needed to be exposed and/or convinced that their support for the disgraced ruler is misplaced.

So, we pressed onwards to Nonin-gal-dith.

Our decision proved the proper one.

There were many more troops manning the daisy ring defenses than formerly, but they sped us through. Merlin had convinced Tinadell to send a strong escort to remain by our side as long as necessary.

Noralei’s sister was prepared to receive all of us – pixie, fairies, and dragons.

I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we are all feeling quite glum. Thankfully no one but Rumble and Noralei’s sister took note of our arrival. Perhaps we need to take in the peace and quiet of Nonin-gal-dith and try to calm ourselves. I know one pixie who should do so. He is still seething over Rayjil being forced to stay at the repository.

Noralei has agreed to take Cluyjil in, until such time as I return him to Merlin’s castle. But I think it more likely that I will take him on a search for the wizard in Laguayil or Dromadil.

I think we shall need Merlin to advocate for Rayjil and Noralei before the Faerie Queen – like he did on behalf of Tinadell. Already I have heard from the High Fairy that he cannot get in to see her. This attitude smacks of ingratitude – especially in light of all we have done for the kingdom and for this world.

Some problems arose today on our rounds about the village with Tinadell. Although most, like Noralei’s sister, had never heard his name we did run into a few who had. And their reaction to the news of his being here to stay, rankled them.

Unfortunately those thus affected happen to be on the Fairy Council. I did plan to take Tinadell to one of their meetings, but see that it would be best to wait for a time when the High Fairy will be there also.

One fortunate encounter was with the weavers when I dropped off the cobwebs. They were most happy to meet Tinadell, and even more so when they learned he weaves also. So, he may have a place to work before he has his own place to stay.

Overall Tinadell seems happy to be here and is content. He thanks me every time we meet.
