Day Nine Hundred Seventeen #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Jezer was down to the last of his leads today. This he took care to explain before departing. He would like to move to another location as soon as possible to continue the search.

However, Elijah remained certain that the trail to Raj G’s group will originate here in Damascus.

Last night I had given Jezer a list of the last components I needed for the drone under construction. So not having anything to work on to keep me busy, my mind was filled up with other concerns. I felt more than ever that I needed to be out and about. But I stifled that feeling. And was obedient.

As it turns out, Elijah proved correct. Jezer returned with news.

Day Seven Hundred Seventy #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

I saw him perched atop the fearsome beast winging between us and the moon and stars. Just like in the dream related to us by Mei.

Stan was searching, flying in a pattern to and fro across the sky.

On a sudden I sensed a presence at my elbow. Elijah had joined me.

He told me to pay him no heed for he had blinded him as to our location. And that he was only striking out randomly in his frustration. It seems the easy explanation of what has been happening to the various routes out of this valley.

We apprised the others upon rising. Mei was gratified to have the confirmation.

At Tomas’ recommendation we tried another northern route.

Day Six Hundred Forty Two #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Twenty-four hours have passed in our new location. It has proven a very pleasant choice. The Captain found a water well some distance from the caravan trail. It’s on a well worn offshoot from this main route.

The water is a bit brackish, but drinkable. Perhaps traces of minerals are leeching into it.

There was evidence that a group of travelers had passed through here recently. Ashes from cooking fires, and bits of garbage collected in a pit.

Elijah found a nearby cave, or rather an overhang just beyond the well. It is now our place of meditation.

But it has no view southward, so the Captain sticks to the caravan trail. He doesn’t want to chance missing Tomas.

Day One Hundred Twenty Seven #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

I talked through my vision with Lyle. It was nothing new for either of us.  We just had not ever recognized a location before. That being the case we have some preparations to make. We both sense it is closer now than ever.

We are keeping it between us for now.  Lyle will broach the topic soon with the leaders of the east end. He says it will fit perfectly as a finish to his current teaching.

Kip sent word to us. The leaders of the west end are voting tomorrow about uniting behind the world authority as espoused by the young bearded man. He senses a favorable coalescence among his peers.

Confident that the Lover of our souls reigns.

Day One Hundred Twenty Five #DiaryofthendoftheWorld

Yesterday in the fields, that drone had lingered briefly over our location before speeding off.

It made us conscious once again that someone was watching. By end of day, I couldn’t help but turn my gaze skyward before stepping into the house and closing the door behind me.

I am confident that none of our actions, thus captured, are unlawful. I would even go as so far as to believe they tend to prove our innocence. Then, again keeping track of our whereabouts may be their sole purpose.

Lyle passed the day with his students (no sign of drones). And I hosted Kip. He wants to resign and move to the east end with us.

I advise him to wait.
