Day One Thousand One Hundred Three #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Our guards called up reinforcements this morning and ordered our villa surrounded. This was in reaction to reports that world government loyalists had broken out of their holding camp and were roaming the vicinity.

Tomas was out, so I acted the liaison with our guards. While touring the perimeter I witnessed them turning away roving bands with extreme force. If they had been armed our guards may not have been able to repel them.

In the afternoon the Supreme Commander put in an appearance. He came to check on our well-being and to assure us that the problem had been dealt with – decisively.

After he had left, I sought Elijah to tell him that I thought I had seen Moglen.

Day One Hundred Eighty Five #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Lyle was gone already when I arose. No one knew where he had gone. He had not left word with anyone.

I was not too concerned and thought for sure he would reappear before we set about our chores.

But instead of Lyle, Moglen burst in upon us. Accompanied by six of their guards.

He asked only for Flowers, demanding to talk to him. And he did not like my reply. He did not believe that “our” liaison would traipse off into the desert on a whim.

My protest to the contrary fell on deafened ears. And he changed his demand. He is taking me with him to answer to Stan face to face for Flowers’ disappearance.

Moglen is terrified.
