Day One Thousand Eighteen #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Quasimo has come out of his crisis of confidence, partly helped by his skill in getting us to the third and last of the relay points, but I believe mostly due to the penetrating insight supplied by Elijah through their discussion.  Elijah was able to put him at peace, both for the present, and with his past. And most glorious of all, for the future.

Our passage today was for the most part uneventful. Reuben did sight a drone, but there was enough time to get everyone into cover. Quasimo said to expect more such sightings from here on out. Especially in the vicinity of the busy road that runs to Damascus from Jerusalem.

That will be the greatest challenge.

Day Nine Hundred Ninety Three #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Mawuli returned to us on foot to report that all was in readiness to receive his father’s group.

Elijah and I set out with the first section. The Purser and his family stayed behind to round up the stragglers before taking up the march.

On the way we passed the tanker truck that was returning to refill at the desert crossroads. Only Jezer and Tomas were aboard, Reuben had remained to aid his stricken townspeople.

A coterie of young men orbited Elijah asking him endless questions. My friend answered them all with patience and penetrating insight. One of the more curious reached out to touch Elijah’s staff and was shocked off his feet.

The youngster stood up with renewed respect.

Day Five Hundred Twenty Seven #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

The crew is scared witless. Elijah has been sharing with them portents of future events. He did temper his vision with reasons to hope, but they have only been able to focus on the downside. I took every opportunity to share with them out of our experience about how that hope is real and has the power to see us through anything.

I passed part of my time today with P to instruct him in the duties of a purser. (Yes, he has been approved for the position by all concerned). He has asked a lot of questions – always a good sign. I encourage him to ask more, as it gives me the best insight into what I should teach.

I Know

I Know

I know
Thy Word is living
And speaking
“Follow Me.”

I know
That by Thy Truth
I am set free
To be
All You meant me to be

I know
Thy Spirit quickens
And meets my every need
All I need do is ask
And You give
Boldness for any task

I know
That You know me
And I have no higher desire
Than to live my days before
The eyes of Holy Fire

And with those similarly viewed
Laying claim to the same insight
By the hope that purifies imbued,
Cleansed that we may be light.
