Day Seven Hundred Fifteen #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Our path turned and we chased the sun in its movement westward.  We had intermittent views of the desert in the distance on the up cycles of our up and down progress.

But on one of those occasions something else was revealed – a village or hamlet sat astride our path a few ranges ahead. Wisps of smoke curled above it.

Tomas was all for running ahead to investigate. But we held him back for we judged it to be a couple days’ journey away.

As for the Captain he wanted to go around it altogether and not call attention to ourselves.

Elijah and I advised staying the course.

A hauntingly familiar melody played in my thoughts before sleep claimed me.

Day Six Hundred Twenty Four #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

We still wait for the pass to clear. There was quite a build up of army units at this end of the plain, each awaiting their turn to enter. At one point they were overflowing into the area near our camp, so we moved further away.

In so doing we stumbled upon a hamlet. Though there were several dwellings, only one was inhabited.

The family therein hid at our approach, but Elijah and Tomas coaxed them out with assurances that we were not with the army.

They were attracted to Elijah and his staff, wanting to know if he were the Good Shepherd come for them.

All their neighbors had been taken up in the Glorious Appearing.

They want Yeshua.
