Day Nine Hundred Eighty Nine #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Another late night despite our best efforts to have everyone turn in early. At least we were ready to leave at first light for we kept busy all the while we talked.

As we moved out the Purser took a head count. The six I had identified were missing. And stranger still Jezer later told me he had recognized someone last night, but now they were nowhere to be seen.

Jezer had had other important news to share. And Elijah and I were overjoyed when we heard it. Sy, acting upon our request had gone in search of the Purser’s group but found instead the one led by Jordan. They are now safely with him  in the mountains above Galilee.

I stayed behind. I had a strong desire to be alone in the Spirit. Elijah, up the night through was still going strong. He went forth with Elam at first light. He is committed to declaring the warning. There are still many sectors where his voice has not been heard. Though Elam is willing to take him everywhere, he is not sanguine as to their chances of success. For these remaining sectors have been the longest (and most willingly) under the mark.

About midday my focus switched from myself onto Elijah and Elam. Their time of need as it turns out. Elam saw the angelic army surrounding their position as their attackers turned on one another. Twenty days to go.

Day Two Hundred Fifty One #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

We came to the mountain peak  at first light. Courtesy of the Spirit.

The view is unobstructed in all directions.  I wanted to see this view on our outbound trip weeks ago, but we kept to the pass which meanders by, far beneath us. We turn our backs on the flattened city with the fields and desert beyond and take in the other view. We see the walled city and its bridges where Elijah and I met.

Its distance means nothing. We could be there now if we wanted.

For now we wait.

I am intrigued by the ocean that awaits beyond that.
