Day One Thousand One Hundred Thirty #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

We returned to familiar ground today. Territory that Elijah and I remembered from our journey down to Babylon. From my calculation we were only two or three days from Sy’s redoubt in the mountains.

We described Sy’s fortress to Reuben and he said that he had come across a place of that description on his way through the Galilee region. In fact, he had stopped to spend the night, having been invited to do so by another man whom he took to be someone who belonged there.

Elijah asked our friend to describe this individual.

After he did, Elijah and I looked at one another. His description matched our nemesis Moglen.

I asked Reuben if Moglen had inquired about us.

Day Five Hundred Twelve #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

The road is clear ahead, and I can almost smell the sea. I can’t see it through the haze in front of us, but I can sense it is there. We are noticeably descending. Elijah claims we are approaching sea level.

The peasants we rescued yesterday were grateful, but not followers of Hamashiach. Before we separated they told Elijah that people answering our description could be found in a certain household in their village.

We are on our way there now. According to their directions it should be the third village on this road.

It was quite late when we arrived in the second. Elijah, being eager, wanted to continue but I prevailed upon him to wait for the morning.

Day Three Hundred Eighty Four late morning #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

Elijah writes:

The Purser and I have reached the northern gate by which his family and Enoch should be arriving. No one at the gate recalls any entrants by the description we gave.

We are turning our attention to the inns and hotels that line the streets between here and the dock.

Along the way we learned there was a mass exodus to the interior of the followers of Hamashiach a month ago.
