Meribabell writes:
Rayjil took the lead, and we followed after her and her riders. Atop her, Noralei, kept us in close contact at every turning, grouping us so that we traveled in the darkness together. And thus allowing what light our crystals produced and what our armor reflected to bathe us continually.
We were well prepared for the darkness, but not quite so for the cold. I could feel it in my wings – so much so that they throbbed with pain. And the same pain was in my hands.
I have been checking my scroll often since arriving here on the other side. Our hope is that the High Fairy and l will still be able to communicate. So far nothing from him has found its way to the bottom. I scratched out a few thoughts there in hopes he would see them.
I try not to dwell on thoughts of what may lie ahead – of the dangers we may face – or what the adversary may fling against us.
