Day Nine Hundred Four #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

I kept the drone here with us, the better to secure our position. Besides, Elijah and I will have charge of a larger group, that of Tomas and the Captain’s together, and we’ll need it to maintain overwatch when we are on the way.

I should ask Jezer for sufficient parts for another drone, for Quasimo’s sake. He seemed so sad when he handed it off to me.

Elijah passed the time with Raj P. They talked about his brother and mused about his whereabouts with his contingent.

While I did keep the drone aloft circling the camp I caused it to linger each cycle over the approach that Jezer should take upon coming to us.

All day long – nothing.

Day Seven Hundred Fifty Seven #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

A busy day for all. A large contingent of the camp spent the day with Elijah at the request of Jordan. Since Jordan has been here he has sent many groups off on the next leg of the journey to Jerusalem.

Word has passed down from all the groups that have collected here from out of the northern countries about the guidance that Elijah had shared on that one singular occasion. They were all eager to hear from the man himself.

He did not disappoint. Even the Captain and Tomas were riveted by his words. And Mei came to me with an enlarged understanding. And with many more questions.

When the camp took up their  duties she met with Elijah.

Day Two Hundred Eighty Three #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

We stopped by Sy’s parents to offer them a place with the group that will be lead out of the central city by Elam. They declined to go with this contingent. “Besides,” the father joked, “who else will feed you?”

Who else, indeed?

But it’s times like these when you consciously evaluate just who you are going to trust. Plus you must never lose sight of where your ultimate trust must lie.

However, it did give us a glimmer of hope that they may yet say yes to a future exodus before the twenty six days run out.

We also noticed a change in the attitude of some of the people gathered in front of the administration building.

Undisguised hostility.
