Day Five Hundred Forty Six #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

The Captain took the ship out in the forenoon. We are a little lighter again, for we had nothing but deliveries in this port. There were no new shipments.

Our progress was slow and cautious as Tomas navigated the other end of the inward passage. Delighted by the view of the bright green islands floating on the blue, blue sea, the Hamashiachites lingered long at the rail.

Once we reached the open ocean, Elijah collected them in the mess hall and introduced them to other believers from the crew. Some strong bonds were forged today. In fact, the Raj twin G may leave at the next port to accompany them.

Elijah approves, but I wonder what his twin brother thinks.

Day Four Hundred Twenty Two #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

We arrived just short of the road this evening. The Purser had located the former denizen of the port city who was invited to spend the day with us. We have learned much.

The man, a former merchant does not hold out hope that we will find any believers left in the city. Further he warns that the remaining population may be hostile. He is incredulous that we would want to go there.

In the evening council meeting I confess I was quite moved by what Elijah shared. He explained they will have an important role to play in the future.

At the close he advised them to ford the river to the side opposite the road and head north.

Elijah and I have come to the same conclusion. Stan is here to extend and widen the reach of the world government.

But we disagree on what to do next. I believe his appearance was the answer to our “when to leave” question. Now.

Elijah clings to the notion that we still have a responsibility. What that is exactly, remains a mystery.

In my considered opinion, all followers of Hamashiach are safely out of his reach.

A case in point, the former owners of this inn were believers that left. The current possessors, we have learned, simply took over.

All the remaining denizens in this town are ripe to receive the “mark” for his promises.

What is left to do?

Day Three Hundred Fifty One #DiaryoftheEndoftheWorld

The gathering of believers on the hill didn’t want us to leave. Our time together was indeed special, but Elijah assured them that with the help of the Spirit they possess all that is necessary.

Elijah did have one more goal, to tie together the two different groups. To that end we invited Tomas, the son of the villa owner to accompany us down the hill to the city.

There we introduced him to the other group. Elijah made the case that they would all soon need to seek the aid of one another in the times of trouble ahead.

Having completed our exhortations, we bid them goodbye.

We arrived back at the ship to find it surrounded with soldiers.
