To her credit the Queen brought balance and great calm to the situation after such disquieting news. She called for her prime minister to meet with the High Fairy and Merlin to go over this latest development.
It was readily apparent that there was no immediate danger so we set out to be methodical in how we came at these new problems. The Queen ordered the Crack of Doom to be moved back to its hiding place. And we decided that Dunfallon should take Rayjil to Nonin-gal-dith, to be kept there with Cluyjil under the pixie’s care and that of Rumble.
I was all set to question Noralei and Gibley about their experiences when Noralei surprised me with her own account, written down while they were on the other side. It was therefore clear to me that I should read through it first.
In this Noralei agreed, but said she wanted to preface my reading by relating the fact that it all began with a sighting of the Will’o’the Wisp. This startled all of us.
So I sat with the High Fairy and Merlin and we read her scroll together.
