The Fairy Diary Day 358 #TFDbyRWOz2

Meribabell writes:

Not having any thing further with which to busy ourselves, Noralei, Rumble, and I took our ease. We walked and talked down in the gardens of the courtyard, telling our dreams and wishes for when all this is over. Looking forward to again being home in Nonin-gal-dith.

Of course our conversation often strayed to Dunfallon and his quest to find Willie, but we resisted the urge to join Merlin in his workshop as he followed our pixie’s progress.

Then, our calm and quiet was disturbed by the sudden appearance of a black bird atop a trellis of roses. It stood perfectly still and silent – just glaring at each of us in turn.

It launched into the sky when Merlin came running out. On his heels came the wizard’s owl who completed the rout of the intruder.

Merlin brought grave news. Dunfallon needs our help.
