I had to call Dunfallon back when he took off after some birds to shoo them away. I asked what he was thinking as those birds were easily bigger than he was.
I told him to summon his eagle and go after them in its strength. The pixie apologized for his rashness and thanked me for calling out his pigheadedness.
We watched them as they charged those birds, scattering them.
When Dunfallon returned, he was flush from the chase. And was happy to report that he does not think the fowls were the ones that have often dogged our steps.
As I look back on the day, we have made good headway despite beginning to climb. But I am more glad that the iciness between Dunfallon and me shows signs of thawing.
