The High Fairy was distressed to learn about the nature of the recent attack. He doesn’t like the trend of these assaults. They are clearly growing in severity. He envisions that they may culminate in a dragon attack.
I wrote back to remind him that we may have headed off that possibility when we handed over that dragon’s egg to Merlin. As I was writing, an additional thought occurred to me and I asked him if he had seen any sign of it in the wizard’s castle.
Having asked the question the idea that it may have gotten away from us nagged at me the rest of the day.
We met with Nililitil and I shared my vision. He was uncomfortable with the thought of splitting our forces. But Navril spoke up and convinced him that it should all ultimately be for the best.
