The Fairy Diary Day 71 #TFDbyRWOz2

Meribabell writes:

Early in the morning, Gilgorgon mustered his troops down in the courtyard of the stronghold. Then they assigned an honor guard to accompany his dead back up the mountain. The dwarves had suffered three casualties in the latest encounter with the wolf, in particular. It must have been cursed, for though those bitten survived the battle, they succumbed late last night.

Dunfallon asked permission to join the honor guard. Rumble and I were reluctant to have him parted from us, but ultimately we felt it the right thing to do.

As they were departing for the mountain, another band of dwarves arrived to join in with Gilgorgon’s forces. They brought the news from the lookouts atop the mountain that all is clear in the surrounding region.

This is good news. And both Rumble and I feel the pull to be back in Nonin-gal-dith.
