We have been prepared all day. Just waiting and watching. Our need to stay in place is sorely tried by our concern for our missing friends. Our attention has been divided by it.
We discussed sending Dunfallon up the mountain to inquire after Gilgorgon and his people. I could tell he so desired to summon his eagle and soar the heights, but to his credit he held strictly to his duty and patrolled across our front on his mountain goat.
Rumble and I fell to a topic of conversation that is much debated in fairy circles – where have we fairies come from? Rumble tends towards the opinion that we carry the very essence of certain living beings – plants in particular. I hold the belief that we came from something higher up, maybe even beyond the stars above.
Of course, we resolved nothing, but it helped to pass the time.
Strange that the air is clear – even out to the horizon.
